Let Yourself Off the
Hook
Throughout the various phases
of life, it is inevitable that we will make mistakes and do things
we regret. After all, we are human with limitations and
imperfections. However, we sometimes suffer from mental,
physical, and spiritual distress because we harbor enormous guilt
feelings because of those mistakes. In fact, feelings of guilt
and low self-worth are among the signs and symptoms of depression
and anxiety, and they can prevent one from setting and reaching
goals. Therefore, in order to enjoy the good life, it is
imperative for us to forgive ourselves as well as those who have
hurt us. Remember, the important lessons of life are
impossible without mistakes, so forgive yourself for the mistakes
you have made, take a moment to write down all the wonderful lessons
you learned from those mistakes, and then celebrate another
milestone in your life.
Living in the past may cause
paralysis that can prevent one from successfully walking
toward the
future…
